Tiens Palmer demonstrated painting hands in oils on Saturday 20 January 2024

Tiens discovered at a very early age that he could draw and he decided to pursue a career as a graphic designer. However, he found that raising a family, and dealing with life that he didn’t get much time to paint.

At the end of 2016 he started painting seriously and began to do a lot of commissioned work, and subsequently became a full time artist in April 2023. He is mostly self taught and has developed along different paths.

Beauty inspires him. He states that; ‘There is an eternal quality about a moment in time”.

His preferred medium is Oil paint and that allows him to capture these moments on canvas.

He paints different subject matters and says the art journey is full of surprises making him always curious to learn more.
