Born in the North West Province 23 March 1979 Richardt took a keen interest in nature at a very early age, drawing the scenic surrounding areas and mountain scenes of the Mogaliesberg using cokees, crayons, pens and pencils. He developed a keen interest in nature very early on in his life. In 1998 Richardt started working in oils and acrylics and started to teach other people how to paint and draw. Today Richardt pursues his art with the same passion, curiosity and enthusiasm as when he was still in his childhood days back in the North West, painting, drawing and teaching.
Recently he has been working on a series of bushveld landscapes and generally improving his process post Covid. He has also gained popularity on the auction scene with his quiver tree paintings. He has had a string of successes overseas exporting his works to international collectors. Richardt has also taken part in a series of fundraising exhibitions at Bryanston Country Club where his work has met with a lot of positive response from the public.
His future aspiration is to help other artists and aspiring artists alike to reach their artistic goals and to create artwork on the next level.
