Demo 16 March 2013 – Neil Moss

Neil begins his painting on a toned background

Neil explaining that only three colours will be used in the painting, Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine Blue and White

Neil applies a mixture of genuine turps and raw linseed oil before he starts painting

A basic sketch is applied

Sky, trees and huts are added all using the same tonal values.

Some detail is added in both the foreground and background
