Reflections in oils (starting with acrylics)

Trevor is a self-taught artist based in Joburg. He studied fashion at Natal Technikon, then spent many years in the clothing based in Cape Town and Los Angeles. He was mainly involved with women’s clothing and was nominated several times in the South African Fashion Awards for ladies, men’s and best young designer categories.

About 10 years ago he decided to return to his first love – painting. Since then he has worked with several galleries here in Joburg and Pretoria such as MBW, JVH, Art on 6^th,, Art at 160, and Rustic Vine. He works in various styles and mediums – mainly oils, acrylics and charcoal.

His subjects vary from landscapes, seascapes, figures and conceptual abstracts, as well as some wildlife and private commissions.

His demonstration was on how to paint reflections. He started in acrylics and continued in oils.
