Jackie Bekker

Jacqueline Bekker was born in South Africa and raised in Zimbabwe. She began art lessons at a very early age and went on to study at the Peter Birch School of Art from 1985 to 1990. She continued her art education through UNISA for six years before relocating to the United Kingdom, where she attended Northbrook College for three years and completed a BA in Fine Art.

A highly versatile artist, she works across a wide range of styles, mediums, and techniques, including sculpture. Abstract work and textured surfaces are central to her artistic practice.

Over the years, she has participated in numerous exhibitions both locally and internationally, including the Florence Biennale, the Swiss Art Fair, and independent art fairs held at the Da Vinci in Italy and the Louvre in Paris.

Jackie currently lives in Benoni, South Africa, where she teaches at the Art Alive Art School.
