Watercolour with design

Elsa will demonstrate Watercolour With Design on Saturday 19 July 2025.
Elsa is one of South Africa’s most distinguished artists whose work graces the foyers and walls of leading corporates, institutions and shopping centres round SA. She has exhibited in many countries e.g. London, Germany, USA, France and many more.

She received the Saunders Buckingford award for the best work at an exhibition in Pall Mall Gallery London, where both of her entries were accepted. The WSSA has described her as one of SA’s top watercolour artists. In 1981 she had a 1-man exhibition with the Pretoria Art Association.

She has studied under Carl Jeppe, Bettie Cilliers-Barnard and Alice Elai among others.

She creates in many media and paints with both hands! Through experimentation over years using a microscope her trademark has become painting using design principles.
